One size fits all - that deceiving size that really doesn’t fit all! Being particularly short, I would never have guessed that one-size-fits-all could fit me. I saw this plaid dress on a mannequin in the window display of Brandy Melville though, and just had to go in and try it. I'd never been in Brandy Melville before, but the length of this dress looked promising, and the cut, pattern, and color looked simple yet cute.
Most items in the store do not have a size label. I was a bit skeptical that anything would fit me if they cater to average height and size, but I gave it a try and was amazed! I love the adjustable cami straps and the length of the dress. I have a tiny bit of extra room in the bust but the dress is nicely structured to hold its shape. The empire waist is fitted and has no stretch, so it may work best for those who typically take an XXS-S. It's also fully lined and very comfortable to wear on hot summer days.
I tried on a few other dresses at Brandy Melville, but those without adjustable straps were too low on me. Length and width did work well overall, and I like that their styles tend to be fitted and not boxy or loose. I'll definitely be revisiting and may also try their basic tees. I would not say the clothing in this store could fit everyone, but I'm certainly happy with how this dress fits on me!
