I'm ever on the hunt for simple, versatile tops.  Grabbed this one from Nordstrom online - the tiny white squares pattern (looks more like dice or ice cubes to me!) makes it more than just a black v-neck shirt while not overwhelming a petite body, and the 100% modal fabric is soft and comfy.  Bonus - it's actually a petite size!...
