This Talula dress has been one of my favorites for a few years now. Aritzia still carries it and tends to release it in new colours each season, but I find the black version to be the most versatile. It's so comfortable and easy to wear, has a flattering silhouette for petites, and is adaptable for many situations.
Just throw on black undergarments with this dress and you're good to go. A black-strapped bra blends easily with the dress's cami straps, cutting out the need to fuss with a strapless bra. I love the shape of the fitted bodice and flowy viscose skirt - it's a waist defining silhouette without being too tight, and the double-layered skirt balances it with just the right amount of volume while not overwhelming a petite frame. The length of the dress also feels like it was made for petites! Sizing goes down to a 00 (I'm wearing a single 0), and up to a 10. To top it all off, the straps are adjustable!

Like any great little black dress, it's a blank canvas that can see you through from day to night. Dress it up instantly with heels and add a silver necklace for a formal event, or layer on colourful bling for a stand-out look. For a casual, more modest, or windy weather outfit, black leggings will do the trick. I love styling it like this and adding black flats or engineer boots. It maintains a petite-friendly streamlined look while staying a little warmer.

While they may not be quite as easy to throw on and go, I still love that there are other colors and prints available in this Talula Lipinski dress. I definitely have multiples, as it's rare to find a dress so petite-friendly right off the rack! Try it in a spring floral, a summer tropical, or a jewel-toned red or blue. If you've only got room for one, go with the black for its versatility.
