It’s one of the best shopping times of the summer again - the Nordstrom anniversary sale! Nordstrom has so many short girl friendly items, from jackets to small size shoes. It’s hard to think about a fall wardrobe in the middle of July, but there are price savings to be had if you get in that mindset! Here are my picks from the sale this year:
Pants
Time to get cozy! Yes, these really are petite size sweat pants. They have a drawstring waist and side pockets, and look comfy for daytime lounging joggers or bed time sleep wear. They are made in collaboration with blogger Erin Schrader, so you are also supporting her!
Strictly speaking, these aren’t petite sized, but I’m a big fan of Paige Verdugo crop style jeans. The inseam is 26 inches, which is the perfect length for me at 4’11. They will be more like ankle or cropped jeans on taller petites. These are definitely pricey jeans, but the Nordstrom sale is a great time to try out designer styles. Tops
Just a simple, long sleeve, petite tee for casual outfits. I love the bow tie back for a little surprise. Put your hair up and hit those weekend errands!
Currently available in XXS petite! A lovely crepe and pleated blouse perfect for the office, and an easy style to layer a cami underneath for modesty or warmth. There are multiple color options, such as solid blue, simple white, or fun leopard print. Bonus: Nordstrom’s site says this top “was made in a factory that supports women worker empowerment.”
If you’re still thinking summer, try this petite chiffon blouse with flutter sleeves. Put together an easy dressy look for brunch with the girls or Sunday afternoon dinner.
Sweaters, Cardigans, and Jackets
This light pink v-neck sweater will be a useful fall top! The cotton/viscose material and the light color makes it fit in at an overcranked A/C office during the hotter months too.
This cozy yarn cardi has a slight peplum hem! I love a shaped cardigan on petites because it’s all to easy to get lost in thicker straight cut fabrics.
A beautiful structured blazer by J.Crew but at anniversary prices. Also in black, navy, or yellow. Keep in mind that the shoulders tend to run small at J.Crew, so I typically size up.
Shoes
Victorian-inspired buttons, a nice sturdy heel, and just tall enough to tuck in skinny jeans. These are my kind of booties! They are also available in grey nubuck and black leather. Sam Edelman shoes runs small, so I typically a wear 4.5.
I adore Stuart Weitzman - their size 4 boots fit me like a glove. I was never a fan of over the knee boots until I tried on a Stuart Weitzman pair in store, and they made me a believer! They are so dang expensive but the anniversary sale price is an incredible deal.
